How to have a successful BBQ in The LPV in eight easy steps:
Step 1: take one, shirtless Honey Jr. on a warm, sunny day
Step 2: grill an assortment of meats like; Merguez, Andouillette, Chipolata, and Toulouse sausages
Step 3: try not to gag when looking at or smelling the Andouillette
Step 4: add lots of friends
Step 5: and beer
Step 6: then have some cheese, because it's France
Step 7: play Pétanque because it's the south of France
Step 8: and make sure The Husband gets in plenty of quality time with his husband, Gatz.
et voila!

Ugh, the cheese looks wonderful! Missing good french cheese here in Australia, especially the goat cheese which is my fav. Looks like a gret BBQ weekend!! xx
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great day to me. Yea, the sunny day is definitely number 1 on the day of the barbecue! Diane
ReplyDeleteJealous! Of the sun, the cheese, the fun with friends & beer....but not the Andouillette...yack! I tried that in Paris and it made me very ill....only for French stomachs it seems. :)
ReplyDeleteThe weather and BBQ looks lovely! And why is Andouillette sausage the worst?? I hate when I am pushed up against the metro with someone that smells as if they just ate some.. gross.
ReplyDeleteAgree Andouillette is disgusting, always avoid it! Just catching up with you after our own move to LPH (hameau, of course:-) and thanks for a good laugh on a Monday morning. It's very unfair that we moved in on May 17th and you're unpacked before me:(, but congrats, the house and village look great.
ReplyDeleteThose pieces of meat look delicious. The shirtless one too!
ReplyDeletem.
Oh what a beautiful day!!!!
ReplyDeleteAt least no one brought a heart this time!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of andouillette but the cheeses look great. Especially the Banon - I have eaten a Banon each week for about 5 weeks now! And I just can't figure out why I can't shift those last few pounds?
Nice! Look at all those meats! I had my first French bbq a couple of weeks ago and I now want one everyday!
ReplyDeleteParfait!
ReplyDeleteI love the bromance between your husband and Gatz! That's a great shot of them along the wall.
ReplyDelete...and shirtless honey, indeed. Miamsville. ; )
I know what you're talking about with the avocado. Its because you're used to seeing Californian Avocados in Texas. There is another variety that we saw all the time in Panama that looked almost like a mango. Freaky! I'll stick with my Californian any day!
ReplyDeleteI was with you up until you mentioned the andouillet. I can smell that from here!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinkin' that the recipe for a French barbeque looks pretty dang good!
ReplyDeleteEspecially all that cheese. Mmmmm.
I have never had andouillette, but I do know what is in it. I think I would be willing to try it. However, the CHEESE looks AMAZING. AMAZEBALLS AMAZING. Sorry, I love cheese and I think I am already about lunch for today. Maybe if it was my BBQ I would get a yummy pepper/pomegranite/fig glaze and drizzle it over the cheese. Do you ever use figs much?

What is this petanque game?? Please teach!
ReplyDeleteReally can't go wrong with meat, booze, games and friends.
Was your bbq in the new LPV or the old LPV? Looks like a great time was had by all. I know the cheese plate was a hit with a tasty Banon included in the mix of cheeses.
ReplyDeletelooks like a perfect day! love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful BBQ! Looks like a great time was had by all and what a great menu you prepared!

french men appear to be very attractive. or maybe they just seem exotic. looks like fun. always add beer and cheese.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the above comment about French men. We need more of them in Houston. This BBQ looks fabulous!
ReplyDeletegotta love summer :)
ReplyDeleteI'd like one Honey, Jr. without a shirt, please.
ReplyDeleteThis looks heavenly! The fact that you can eat outside is just amazing (we're still getting torrential rain here!!!). I would so love to be in LPV right now!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
