Isn't this pretty?
The autumn sun shining on those woolly little angels.
I mean, isn't it just so beautiful and quaint?
Yes, it is.
But the woolly ones come with lots of flies.
And when you live right next door, all this idyllic beauty can be quite irritating.
See, that's my house they're lollygagging in front of.
(at least the Nazi Ghost Zombies are being kept busy fly swatting as well)
Plus, my morning wake up call comes from this guy every morning.
eeyore! eeyore!
bisou
Oooh, but it is gorgeous to look at! Great photos.
ReplyDeleteI've got a ton of flies in my house. They are driving me crazy!
ReplyDeleteNooooo! I'm so jealous of you! I love your little farm buddies! : P
ReplyDeleteAre you telling me that it's not non-stop fun with these fellas?
Amazing pictures my dear Sara!
ReplyDeleteI love autumn colours in Provence and I love the monkey! I see two when I was in Provence in 2009 on a street to go to Gordes in a wonderful little restaurant inside a flowers shop!
Have a great week end.
Bisou, Babi
Aww the donkey! I love Donkeys - they are so cute! Although I would probably get tired of them if I was waken up by one everyday ;)

I love donkeys - they look (and sound) ridiculous and are so cheeky. Beautiful pic!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Sarah! I know you live close to me (although I still don't know WHERE) but you have far more leaves and color than we do. Of course, you have actual trees. I'm surrounded by buildings!
ReplyDeleteI bet the smell is just lovely ;)
ReplyDeleteaww that donkey looks sweet! Hee-haw! (nazi zombie ghosts on the other hand...)
ReplyDeleteThat is one good lookin' donkey. Nice rich colour, not a boring old run'o the mill grey. That said, I wouldn't want to wake up to him either.
ReplyDeleteWill I see you tomorrow?
I love that your norm is having a herd of sheep outside of your house!
ReplyDeletegreat photos
ReplyDeleteThey are really pretty, but I would be worried that they would smell like ... well, like animals.

what a gorgeous place! The snow started this morning here....switch u?
ReplyDeleteha we have a fly problem on the farm too :) but at least it looks pretty!!! hope youre doing great!!! xx.
ReplyDeleteWe have a donkey near us in France too - boy does that noise carry a long way! We have had problems with flies in the past - strange, we don't really get them in England anymore, not in any great number, although I can remember my Mum putting up papers and horrible sprays when we were kids. I think its all the pesticides - maybe flies aren't so bad after all! xxx
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. And the Donkey is simply adorable. His alarm couldn't be as bad as my neighbors.
ReplyDeleteHuh? Nazi Ghost Zombies? Must catch up and find more about it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! Even the little donkey is a beauty, but yes, I know about those wake up calls. My brother in Dallas has several and yes. The same. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteSheeps!
ReplyDeleteLoves.
Very nice, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLooks divine! You are living the dream, girlie :)
ReplyDeleteawww beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your beautiful photos because I couldn't see the flies !
ReplyDeleteIt looks so pretty though! Shame there is so many flies, we have heaps here in Australia and they drive me crazy!
ReplyDeleteannoying sheep and donkeys aside, these shots are completely bucolic.
ReplyDeletebut what is the story with the nazi ghost zombie hideout? did i miss a post on that one?
And without screens in your windows, I'd image those flies can be quite an annoyance! But it really is pretty...
ReplyDeleteSO quaint! I was completely planning on waving to you as I flew over France last week, but we flew the other way 'round. Anywho... waving from the states! : )
ReplyDeleteSo lovely of a view!
ReplyDeleteOhh they are so terribly cute! We don't have any sheep near us we have some rooster who thinks that 4pm is sunrise, but I guess that is better than having a ton of flies buzzing around. Never-the-less, your photos are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteMy morning wake-up call is the hot water pipe that bangs and pops from my living room. I want your life, including the noisy donkey. On the bright side, at least I can live vicariously in le petit village. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sara,
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty view you have, but they must be noisy neighbors! I'm sure one gets used to the sound just like cars/city noise. (= I have been really enjoying fall here in Amsterdam...its a new season for this AZ transplant!
Oh man, that donkey is a cutie! You live awfully close to those Nazi ghost zombies though...damn girl.
