The wedding of the century did not go unnoticed here in Le Petit Village. Well, it didn't go unnoticed at Chez Moi anyway. I'm not sure if the rest of the village cared much. But it's OK, Fifty and I made up for their lack of excitement in style... B E H O L D... my very own Prince Charming...
And I put on my English garden finest...
Sorry for the self-portrait. Fifty's lack of thumbs makes him a horrible photographer (although we are trying). But do you notice I'm curtsying? Or, better yet, do you notice I'm trying to curtsy? (Not easy curtsying and self-portraiting at the same time... I'm sure Kate never had this problem). I thought it was appropriate since I had a Prince in the house. But now Prince Fifty expects me to curtsy whenever he walks into the room and I really don't have that kind of time.
{I hate my mom}

{I'm a laaaaaady}

I'm glad you and Prince Fifty enjoyed the royal nuptials in your own creative way. I love your imagination, it keeps us entertained.
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate your dedication shown via foil crown and one handed curtsy. You totally deserved an invite to the real deal.
ReplyDeleteGreat dress! Regal crown :) I'm sure you would have both been welcomed with open arms in the Abbey dressed like that. Actually, no bare shoulders allowed...Fifty would have had to go it alone!
ReplyDeleteI find it hard enough to balance in heels when I'm taking my own pic and looking in the mirror but curtseying has taken it to a new level. I think this might start a trend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty dress!
ReplyDeletei thought i was the only one who made costume pieces for my pets to go along with my theme parties lol i missed the wedding of the century but my pets have been watching the coverage w/ me. gorgeous dress btw
ReplyDeleteWonderful dress. You may wish to rethink not having that kind of time to curtsy. Fifty has sort of a "off with her head" look on his face!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is pretty and the curtseying takes it to a whole other level of dedication. Fifty's crown is hilarious. He looks ready to abdicate the throne!
ReplyDeleteI rather like the ambiance of that photo. I was of course enjoying every second too, with a small union jack in one hand and a thermos flask of tea in the other!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, loooove that dress, Sara! You look gorgeous, dahlin'! Just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up! Look at Fifty... he's loving it! I swear he poses for the camera! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a doll Fifty is!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Fifty really rocks that crown. And hey at least curtsying can help tone the legs and bum right? ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh and you look stunning in that dress. What I would give to raid your closet.
Crazy cute!
ReplyDeleteThis made me so happy. Your Prince is quite the catch and I love love love your dress. Seriously.
ReplyDeletepoor dawgie :< :D
ReplyDeleteYour dress is gorgeous! And I'm so happy that you documented Prince Fifty. He looks so... unamused haha. I love it!
ReplyDeleteFun! You crack me up!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI watched it with my sister...although she would not wear the tiara I bought her. So I wore mine and snacked on biscuits and tea.
ReplyDeleteI totally should have made a crown for my cat!!
Fifty is way cuter than Kate or Pippa. Happy May Day.
ReplyDeleteGood to see you are adapting well to the European customs. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLong life Prince Fifty!
It's interesting to see how different people celebrated the royal wedding. Me, I slept through it and then flicked through some pictures later online. My friend got dressed up and went out for tea. Your curtsying while taking a self portrait skills are impressive though!
ReplyDeleteOne of these days dogs will learn to do these things without thumbs. My German Shepard is working on learning to drive. No success thus far, but he loves to watch the key turn to start the car.
Wait. did you marry 50? Does The Husband know? Does this make you a bigamist? a dogamist? I'm confused.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!... and you look pretty good, too! (jk) One thing is for certain... You and Fifty are the talk of the Village, as in... what a couple of nuts! Hah! If they don't like it, let them eat cake or something similar, maybe a macaron!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
HA! Love, Love! You look fab and so does puppy!
ReplyDeleteAww your prince looks so cute!! Adorable dress by the way!
ReplyDeleteYay! He has a crown! Cute dress! You are very much a laaaady!
ReplyDeleteLOOOOVE the dress Sara!!
ReplyDeleteand fifty looks so cute!
Fifty looks so dapper! His hat is much better than many of the ones actually worn to the wedding.
ReplyDeleteOh man, oh man. Fifty's wearing my crown and you're wearing my shoes! I knew you were trouble from the moment I first read your blog!
ReplyDeleteYou look hot in that dress!! I can't understand WHY you didn't get an invite to the wedding...mine was lost in the mail...I wrote to the royals to remind them to re-send it but they must have been too busy to remember...
ReplyDelete(I tell myself...)

you are too cute
ReplyDeleteFantastic dress! While I was NOT up at the crack of dawn to watch the nuptials (I believe it was 4:30 here in the States?) I was curious for a glimpse of her gown. Kudos to Kate for having Sara Burton from the House of McQueen design her gown. It was beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHowever, Fifty's crown is so much more tasteful!
LOL You're too cute! I so wanted to host a wedding all-nighter party with my girlfriends, but 4am on a weekday seemed a little ridiculous to me. Instead I slept through it and watched videos at work that morning. Oh well. I'm glad YOU got to celebrate. :)
ReplyDeletehaha so cute! your pup looks *thrilled*! i had so much fun watching it too!
