Today we celebrate La Fête Nationale.
221 years ago (2010 - 1789 = 221, right?), the Bastille was stormed and some heads rolled (literally).
In honor of the revolution, the guillotine, and all that storming, I will be doing my own storming...
Its also my dads birthday today :) xoxox

ReplyDeleteI shall make French Fries. And spritz myself with Chanel No. 5.
Hmmm... Monet, huh? Never heard of him. Kinda looks like blobs of color to me. ;)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the festivities! Bonne fete!
I wish I was there today to celebrate! How is your leg?
ReplyDeleteHappy Bastille day, France. don't do anything we wouldn't do . . .
ReplyDeleteBonne Fete!
ReplyDeleteI'll have a hot dog avec dijon and toast Bastille Day with some good (OK - cheap) french wine !
I can't wait to read about your celebration. Have a pastis or two for me!
ReplyDeleteBonne fete, enjoy your 14 Juilliet with loads of wine and pastis...
ReplyDeleteBisous d'Amsterdam
viva la revolution!
ReplyDeleteHappy Bastille Day!! Hope the celebrations are awesome, filled with good food and drink (it's France, so, I think you're good there), and many good friends and loved ones. Have a pastis, or rose I'm not picky, for me s'il te plait! (oh btw, wig pics on my blog- it's pretty funny so make sure not to miss it when you are done celebrating ;-))
ReplyDeleteOh, so that's why I kept thinking today was something I should remember...but I couldn't think of what it was. Best to celebrate it in a pool, I agree. I mean, if you're gonna lose your head, best to do it with wine while floating in a pool.
